Ingredients

Servings: 4
120ml (1/2 cup) Soy Sauce
60ml (1/4 cup) Honey
60ml (1/4 cup) Rice Vinegar
15ml (1 tbsp) Sesame Oil
3 cloves Garlic
2.5cm (1 inch) Fresh Ginger
15g (2 tbsp) Cornstarch

Steps

1

In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil until well combined. This forms the flavorful base of your stir-fry sauce.

2

Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the liquid mixture. Stir well to ensure the aromatics are evenly distributed throughout the sauce. These ingredients will infuse the sauce with their pungent and warming flavors.

3

Prepare the cornstarch slurry by mixing 15g (2 tbsp) of cornstarch with 30ml (2 tbsp) of cold water in a small bowl. Stir until smooth and no lumps remain. This slurry will be used to thicken the sauce.

4

To use the sauce, heat a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Pour the prepared sauce into the hot pan. Bring the sauce to a simmer.

5

Once simmering, slowly whisk in the cornstarch slurry. Continue to whisk gently as the sauce thickens, which should take about 1-2 minutes. The sauce will become glossy and coat the back of a spoon.

6

Your quick and easy stir-fry sauce is now ready to be tossed with your favorite ingredients like vegetables, protein, and noodles or rice.
