Melt-in-your-mouth mashed avocados, brightened with zesty lime, sharp onion, fresh cilantro, and a pinch of salt. This versatile base is perfect for creamy dips, vibrant taco toppings, or a healthy spread.
*Nutrition per serving
| 3 large (about 450g / 1 lb) | Ripe Avocados |
| 30ml (2 tbsp) | Lime Juice |
| 50g (1/4 cup), finely diced | Red Onion |
| 30g (1/4 cup), chopped | Fresh Cilantro |
| 5g (1 tsp) | Salt |
Halve the ripe avocados, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium-sized bowl. Using a fork or a potato masher, gently mash the avocado until it reaches your desired consistency. Some prefer it smooth, while others like it chunky.
Add the freshly squeezed lime juice to the mashed avocado. The lime juice not only adds a bright, zesty flavor but also helps prevent the avocado from browning.
Incorporate the finely diced red onion and chopped fresh cilantro into the bowl. Stir everything together gently to combine.
Season the guacamole with salt. Start with 1 teaspoon (5g) and taste. Add more salt if needed to enhance all the flavors. Stir once more to distribute the seasoning evenly.
Serve immediately as a dip with tortilla chips, as a topping for tacos and burritos, or as a spread on toast. If not serving immediately, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole to minimize air contact and refrigerate.
