| 180ml (6 fl oz) | Espresso or Strong Brewed Coffee |
| 240g (about 1.5 cups) | Ice Cubes |
| 60ml (1/4 cup) | Heavy Cream |
| 30ml (2 tbsp) | Milk (whole or 2%) |
| 15ml (1 tbsp) | Pistachio Syrup |
| 2.5ml (1/2 tsp) | Vanilla Extract |
| 15g (2 tbsp) | Pistachios |
Prepare your coffee. Brew 180ml (6 fl oz) of espresso or strong coffee and allow it to cool completely. If you don't have an espresso machine, you can use a Moka pot or a very strong French press brew. Ensure it's chilled before proceeding.
Assemble the iced coffee base. Fill a tall glass (approximately 470ml or 16 fl oz capacity) with ice cubes, filling it about two-thirds full (around 240g or 1.5 cups of ice). Pour the chilled espresso or strong brewed coffee over the ice.
Using a clear glass will showcase the beautiful layers of your latte.
Prepare the pistachio cold foam. In a separate, smaller container or a milk frothing pitcher, combine 60ml (1/4 cup) of heavy cream, 30ml (2 tbsp) of milk, 15ml (1 tbsp) of pistachio syrup, and 2.5ml (1/2 tsp) of vanilla extract. This mixture will form the base of your delicious foam.
Ensure your cream and milk are very cold for the best frothing results.
Froth the cold foam. Use a handheld milk frother (wand frother) or an electric frother to vigorously whisk the cream mixture. Continue frothing for about 30-60 seconds, or until the mixture becomes thick, airy, and forms stable peaks. The consistency should be like whipped cream, but lighter and more voluminous.
If using a wand frother, tilt the container slightly to ensure the frother head is submerged just below the surface of the liquid to incorporate air. Avoid over-frothing, which can make the foam too stiff.
Top the iced coffee. Gently spoon the prepared pistachio cold foam over the iced coffee in the glass. Aim to create a generous, fluffy layer that sits on top of the coffee and ice.
Spoon carefully to maintain the airy texture of the foam.
Garnish and serve. If desired, sprinkle a small amount of finely ground pistachios (about 15g or 2 tbsp) over the top of the cold foam for extra flavor and visual appeal. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade Pistachio Cold Foam Iced Latte.
Garnishing with pistachios adds a lovely crunch and visual flair, but it's completely optional.
